Mr. Smith's best friend and his lovely wife have a beach party every year.
Our attendance has been spotty at best. As in, we have only made three of the last eight parties.
This year, due to the pressures of our sudden surge of new business, we could only
go at 8:30 in the morning.
I like to call this one Villagers Fleeing from Killer Wave.
I call this one, Villagers Fleeing the Killer Wave: Take Two.
See, the thing is, when you get up before dawn, it isn't that difficult to hit the beach by 8:30, so we were the first family to arrive.
But one of the benefits of being up so frickin' early?
You get to see this:
I don't know if these are dolphins or porpoise. I didn't really get enough of a shot of their bodies to identify them anyway.
They were really close to shore and just zipping along. So elegant and magical.
And then we went home. After all, how can you top a dolphin sighting?
