46 years ago, these two crazy kids tied the knot.
Each of them were 23 years old.
Kids. Crazy crazy kids.
He is smoking in the photo above.
He quit cold turkey in the 70s after his pack of smokes fell in some boggy pool water.
I know my mother is going to kill me for posting this picture, but she made the face, not me!
Anyway, they taught my brother and me about marriage, commitment, honesty and loyalty. They showed us that you don't run for the door when things get difficult. You showed us how to argue over stupid shit (turkey breast, Christmas lights, etc.) instead of the big stuff.
They showed us an example of a real marriage, not perfect (no such thing exists)...REAL.
