It occurred to me the other day that the blog posts around here have been a little sparse.
I apologize. I am not 100% sure what I have been doing, but it obviously has kept me extremely busy.
I have been reading far more than any mother with two children under 6 should.
Also, I have just not been feeling the bloggy love. Writing has been difficult on my best days. Again, I am not exactly sure why, but there you have it.
Grand Master H is rocking the preschool world five mornings each week. We will see where this leads. He is still like a CIA operative when it comes to sharing his experiences. He has some new friends and he really loves his teachers. I have seen an astonishing leap forward in his development. He is more independent and confident. He has gotten sick more, but in the long run, it has been worth it.
Yesterday,
this butterfly came for a quick visit. Can I just tell you? This was the only shot I got. These things are harder to catch than the kids! Never still, always on the move. Ugh!
Luckily, he came again today and was a tiny bit more cooperative.
Last weekend this happened:
This guy pretty much embodies all that is bad about Orange County. So, yeah. I am still fuming about it.
I will go and look for butterflies instead.
P.S. Certain regular readers (okay, my one and only regular reader) have asked for more details about Pastor Robert. I was on my way to JoAnn Fabrics when I got stuck behind Mr. Big Time aka Pastor Robert of the Gates of Peace congregation. Of course I know all of this because Mr. Marie Antoinette has a vanity plate (1 GOP 1) with a license plate frame that states the following: Pastor Robert Gates of Peace. This being OC and all, my first thought when I saw GOP was that he was some lizard-brained, mouth-breathing Republican, but no. He did me one better. He is a pastor! And his congregation is apparently perfectly fine with his mangy ass driving around in a brand new tricked out Corvette with a damn vanity plate.
It took all of my self-control not to key his precious car that he very carefully parked so that it could occupy the better part of three parking places.
Deep cleansing breath.
Sorry.
P.P.S. And another thing! Pastor Robert wears sandals with SOCKS!!!!! ARGH!!
P.P.P.S. Please also note that the RAV4 has a little Christian fishy thingy AND a handicapped tag AND they were able to only occupy one space AND parked farther away than Pastor Robert.
GRRRRRRR!
What is WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?!?
