Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Gettin' churchie

While my parents were on their annual East Coast Tour, they took several photos of churches in New York and Pennsylvania. I decided to play with them a bit in Photoshop.

They are some of the most gorgeous buildings. We just don't have buildings like this in Southern California. Sure, we have missions, but it just isn't the same.

Be that as it may, I thought all four of you might be interested in seeing the finished product of the edited photos.

This is in the graveyard where my great-grandparents are buried.

Sadly, this church is no longer in use. It is empty and has fallen into disrepair since no one is caring for it.

Despite being a retired Catholic, I may end up framing this photo. I absolutely love it. I like the fact that it is a little messy and overgrown.

My father went to this school. Definitely has that institutional feel, doesn't it? Yikes.

My parents were married in this church about a million years ago.

My mother went to this school.

This gorgeous church was built by my ancestors in Dushore, PA. It is up on a hill and is very commanding.

See, wasn't that fun?
